Two Statewide Events To Choose From: Taylor County and Sauk County
We would love to see you at either of our next statewide, long-weekend trail-building projects described below. Come on out for all or any part of either event...we'll feed you and provide a place to camp close to the work site.
Those who enjoy trail building will receive hands-on training in advanced trail construction techniques by volunteer crew leaders as part of our Mobile Skills Crew program. If trail building isn't your cup of tea, we have plenty of other roles for you, including volunteer support and event publicity.
TAYLOR COUNTY, WOOD LAKE SEGMENT Ice Age Trail Atlas Map 25f Help relocate about 2/3-mile of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and maintain an additional 1.5 miles. Currently on logging roads, the new route will wind among northern white cedar and graceful hemlocks with views of picturesque wetlands and the terminal and parallel end moraines. Please help us plan with your needs in mind...click here to pre-register.
SAUK COUNTY, DEVIL'S LAKE SEGMENT Ice Age Trail Atlas Map 61f In June, torrential storms hit the area in and around Devil's Lake State Park hard. The section of Ice Age Trail from South Shore Drive north is closed. Our partners with the DNR have asked us for help and this is the call. Please help us plan with your needs in mind...click here to pre-register.
Give us a call (800-227-0046) or send us an email (info@iceagetrail.org) with any additional questions about either project.
Whichever direction you choose to travel, the Ice Age Trail will benefit. If you ever wanted to bring a carload of friends to an MSC project, this would be an opportune time! |

Please help us plan with your needs in mind by pre-registering at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=p40xOB_2f6x5BWP5dHr3g16g_3d_3d. For more information about this project, call the IAPTF at (800) 227-0046 or send an email to info@iceagetrail.org. |
