Suggested Hikes

Every segment of the Ice Age Trail offers a unique and enjoyable hiking experience. Since hikers’ favorites change from season to season and year to year, declaring a Best Hikes list is just about impossible. Here are a few favorites recently featured in our quarterly magazine Mammoth Tales:

Segment County Region
Greenbush Sheboygan SE
John Muir Memorial Park Marquette SC
Loew Lake Washington SE
McKenzie Creek Polk NW
East and West New Wood Lincoln NC
Skunk and Foster Lakes Waupaca C

Up-to-date maps and descriptions of these segments can be found in the Ice Age Trail Atlas and the Ice Age Trail Companion Guide.
