Trail Updates and Reports

To report damage or other condition updates on the Ice Age Trail, please email info@iceagetrail.org or call (608) 663-8278 or 1-800-227-0046.

The Ice Age Trail continually evolves toward completion as trailway protection and volunteer trail-building progress. The route of the Trail is not static. Some changes are small, such as a slight relocation to take in a more sustainable route. More dramatic changes occur when a new segment is opened.

The best way to track the evolution of the Ice Age Trail is to become a member of the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation. You’ll receive our quarterly magazine Mammoth Tales, which features articles on trail-building and trailway protection accomplishments.

Before you head out for a hike, we recommend the Ice Age Trail Atlas and the Ice Age Trail Companion Guide as the best sources for maps and descriptions of your destination. Updates listed below will be incorporated into future editions. In the meantime, we recommend adding these changes to your current copies.
