Three hiking buddies will be hiking the western side of the Mondeaux Esker segment and the Fawn Avenue connector. Direction and timing are yet to be determined.

This segment is one of the most physically challenging of statewide trail. Unlike in the Kettle Moraine where you hike on the very top of eskers, here you will be traversing the esker’s side. Large roots may provide places to rest. Mushrooms galore and possible waterholes to wade through make it that much more interesting. The eastern edge of this hike is the lodge in the center.
