Be ADVENTUROUS: Introduction to Camping
Saturday, May 13 – Sunday, May 14
Kettle Moraine State Forest – Southern Unit*

If you’ve wanted to dip your toe into the world of camping, but don’t know where to start, join us for this retreat weekend. You’ll gain confidence for future camping adventures as you set up your tent and cook meals with intrepid, camping novices. We’ll create a great community space including a camp lounge, trail mix bar, and plenty of outdoor fun. You’ll appreciate the opportunity to meet other women who like laughing by the light of the moon and sleeping under the stars.

We will provide the positive, welcoming vibe – you bring your food (Saturday lunch and dinner), tent, and sleeping gear. Cooking stations will be available for use, and you are welcome to bring your own camp stove and cookware if you’ve got it. We’ve got you covered for coffee Sunday morning and breakfast as well.

No gear? No problem. We are working with local businesses to have a supply of tents and sleeping bags available to use for this camping adventure if you do not have one. There is a spot in the registration to list gear that you need.

Investment: $40/attendee, $20/girls under 18**

A detailed agenda will be sent to all registered attendees.

Attendees will arrive on Saturday, May 13 between 8:00 – 10:00 am, and depart no later than noon on Sunday, May 14. 

*Wisconsin State Park vehicle pass is needed to enter the Kettle Moraine State Forest and the Pinewoods Campground.

**Registration includes attendance at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources OutWiGo Green event.

**Refunds are available if written cancellation is received before April 30. Cancellations after May 1 are considered a donation to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, thank you.
