Baraboo Segment – Trail Community Hike – Ice Age Trail Baraboo Hills/Heritage Chapter

March 25, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The Hike:

Spring will have arrived!  Let’s get outside and celebrate the new 2023 Trail Community status of Baraboo/West Baraboo by hiking the Ice Age Trail through this delightful community!

This hike is co-sponsored by Rotary Club of Baraboo to benefit the enormous service provided by the domestic abuse shelter and advocacy service of the Hope House of South Central Wisconsin. https://www.hopehousescw.org

Please bring an item to donate to the shelter, and in conjunction with Rotary Club’s contributions, all gifts collected will be given to the shelter.  Please bring an item from their wish list which can be found here:

https://www.hopehousescw.org/wish-list.html

Event Details:

This is an easy, 4-mile, approximately 2-hour hike.  We will meet at the north end of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville/Baraboo/Sauk County parking lot near the trail segment entrance.  Hikers will arrange self-shuttle to the hike start at the corner of Effinger Rd. and Manchester St., Baraboo.

(Some of this segment is not stroller-friendly. Children are welcome if able.  Young children who require car seats and pets are not preferred due to shuttling in participants’ private vehicles).
