27th Annual Fall Color Hike & Dog Walk – Waushara County Chapter
October 5 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Let’s celebrate the autumn season in Waushara County! Join us for the 27th Annual Fall Color Hike & Dog Walk, with a special presentation by Erin Flynn, Training Specialist, from Barktastic Behavior in Wautoma. All dogs on a leash are welcome.
Join us for a hands-on training demonstration teaching proper “Trail Etiquette” with you and your dog, beginning at 12:00 pm. Following the presentation, enjoy a 2.25-mile hike along the Chaffee Creek Segment, which travels through three types of public land and showcases a wet-mesic prairie and more than 100 native plant species. Hikers with or without dogs are welcome to join!
This family-friendly event includes door prizes and is the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of fall, plus the Mammoth Hike Challenge!
This all-abilities hike will also have Off Road Wheel Chairs (Track Chairs) available for hikers to use! Please contact Randy Lennartz, Chapter Coordinator, at 920-787-2333 or randylennartz@outlook.com ahead of time to reserve a Track Chair.
