Building a sustainable Trail is about meeting the challenge with determination and perseverance. Crafting tread along the Ringle Segment required both in spades. The rocky terrain required hours of popping rocks from the path. Volunteers then transported them to side slopes where crucial retaining walls were built.
After a day of popping rocks, Dolly McNulty digs into well-earned and well-deserved Sitka Salmon. Knowing happy hour included smoked salmon (and beer) lifted the spirits of many a volunteer.
