Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance and Lakeshore Chapter for a celebration of our newest Trail Community in Algoma.

• Algoma  Boat Club (180 6th Street) 

The event will kick off at 11:00 am with the Designation Celebration & Ribbon Cutting.  

Grab food from the Steel Belly BBQ food truck and purchase beverages from the Boat Club (this is a BYOW event, bring your own wallet).

Enjoy free cake and ice cream treats while they last, and music by a local artist.

Talk Trail with Ice Age Trail Alliance and Lakeshore Chapter members, volunteers and staff. Maps and brochures will be available for your next Ice Age Trail adventure. Meet Monty, the mammoth mascot, and decorate your own walking stick (while supplies last).

Special opportunity: meet thru hiker and author Barney ‘Scout’ Mann. Barney started his thousand-mile journey on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail at the eastern terminus in Sturgeon Bay and is headed west to St. Croix Falls.

The celebration will be complete with a hike along the NEW Algoma segment downtown at 2:00 pm!
