This workday may feature quite a variety of activities, depending on the conditions.  They include attacking sumac with power brushcutters, and herbiciding or cutting and stump treating resprouts from honeysuckle, autumn olive and buckthorn top killed by our controlled burn earlier this spring.  We may need to herbicide small aspens invading restored prairie or girdle larger ones.  We might even get started with parsnip and sweet clover control.  Lupine should be blooming on the top of the moraine.  Contact leader for more details a few days ahead.  Meet at the new lot east of the church on Wesner Rd.
