Dane Prairie Planting, Montrose Segment
February 4, 2018 @ 1:30 pm
Please join us for the planting of a new 3.5 acre prairie in the Montrose section of the IAT, located up the hill east of the end of Butts Rd. Meet at 1:30 p.m. at the east end of Butts Rd (https://www.google.com/maps/dir//42.8852861,-89.5135625/@42.8852905,-89.5193507,15z/data=!4m2!4m1!3e0). Please park ONLY along the right (South) side of the road and do not park or drive on the private property on the North side of Butts Rd, by the house. Please dress for conditions; your outer layer should be smooth nylon or equivalent (i.e. a windbreaker), NOT fleece. We would like the seeds to remain in the new prairie and not go home with you, to be planted in your laundry! An RSVP would be greatly appreciated at Anne’s cell (608 695-3479) so we have sufficient supplies and snacks on hand. Anne and Dan are very grateful to the DNR for making this land available for this restoration, which is adjacent to the Blue-Eyed Grass Prairie.
