Oh, New Segments to See! – An IAT-U Virtual Presentation
April 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
With a map in your app,
And a blaze on a tree,
You can orient yourself toward the Trail with glee.
New Trail in town,
And with more tread to grow,
We’ll help you discover the places to go!
Inspired by Dr. Suess (Oh, The Places You’ll Go!), members of the Trail Team will spill the tea about the recently opened spots along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
There are many new places to go, see, and explore, beginning with the 15 miles of brand-new Ice Age Trail created during the previous Trailbuilding season!
Enjoy plenty of photos and colorful commentary, including behind-the-scenes details about how we build Trail.
If you’re new to hiking and the Trail or already a Thousand-Miler, this presentation will have you reaching for your boots (with blazes in your eye)!
Join the Trail Team for a virtual Zoom workshop to learn about the following sections or segments (West to East) open for exploration:
- Cornell (new urban and Trail Community!)
- Rib Lake (new)
- Ice Override (new)
- White Cedar (new)
- Iola Ski Hill (reroute)
- Chaffee Creek (new Pleasant Lake section)
- Cross Plains (extension)
- Gibbs Lake (new)
- Evansville (new urban)
- Scuppernong (extension)
- Waterville (extension)
- LaBudde Creek (extension)
- Sturgeon Bay (reroute)
