Join the Marathon County Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance for a free snowshoe hike.  This event will be on a section of the trail that Backpacker Magazine has rated as one of the “50 best miles” of National Scenic Trail in America.

Meet at the junction of Hatchery and Village Roads, just west of Aniwa. Roadside parking is at the top of the hill, along Hatchery and Village Roads.  GPS coordinates: 45.018803,-89.244431.

Watch for the Ice Age Trail event signs.

This will be an “out and back” snowshoe, so you can determine your own distance.  Most participants will probably snowshoe between 2 and 4 miles, but longer options are available for participants who prefer a longer outing.

Optional gathering at a local establishment for super and drinks, to follow hike.
