Gift and Estate Planning
Leave Your Legacy
Including the Ice Age Trail Alliance in your plans for the future will have a profound, long-lasting impact on the Ice Age Trail. Your commitment to the Alliance not only helps ensure the Trail will one day be complete, but that the next generations will continue to care for it.
Including the Alliance in your will, trust, retirement account, or life insurance policy is an easy, yet VERY impactful way to support the Trail’s future. That’s because this type of donation provides long-term, sustainable support. What’s more, legacy gifts qualify you to become part of the part of the Burr Oak Legacy Society.
Let us know about your plans to give. Send a completed Estate Gift Notification to Bix Firer, Director of Philanthropy.
There Are Many Ways To Leave Your Legacy Gift:
Gift by Bequest:
Make a charitable bequest as part of your estate planning by including language in your will or trust.
Retirement Plan Beneficiary:
Name the Ice Age Trail Alliance as a beneficiary of your retirement assets. This option may result in significant tax savings.*
Gifts that Produce Income:
Establish a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust. This allows you to leave a meaningful gift to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, receive income from the assets, and realize potentially significant tax benefits.*
Workplace Giving:
Matching Gifts
Double your donation to the Alliance! Some companies match employees’ donations to a non-profit organization. Make your donation go further by finding out if your employer has a matching gift program. Send corporate matching forms to: Ice Age Trail Alliance, PO Box 128, Cross Plains, WI 53528.
EarthShare
We are a member of EarthShare, a network of America’s leading non-profit environmental and conservation organizations that promote environmental education and charitable giving through workplace giving campaigns. Giving through payroll deductions lets you choose how much to give and allows gifts in small increments throughout the year.
Other Giving Options:
Gifting stocks and bonds, real estate, or a life insurance policy to the Alliance are additional ways to support the Trail. To learn more, contact Bix Firer, Director of Philanthropy.

The Burr Oak Legacy Society Acknowledges Your Gift:
When you make a legacy gift to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, part of the Burr Oak Legacy Society.
The Society brings together—and honors—forward-thinking supporters who are establishing a strong foundation for the Trail’s future. Society members receive recognition in Mammoth Tales and an invitation to the annual Ray Zillmer-Henry Reuss Memorial Dinner (and hike), which is held in the fall.
